Eager Pinotage quaffers are once again gearing up for the Diemersfontein Pinotage on Tap (POT) festivals, held annually in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban.

There’s little wonder why the POT festival has grown in size and popularity since its inception eleven years ago, nor that it was recently named the ‘World’s Best Wine Event’ by Drinks International Magazine. For those intrigued newbies looking for reasons to attend one of the unforgettable events hosted at three delightfully picturesque venues, here are a few to consider:

Bottomless Diemersfontein Coffee Chocolate Pinotage
The proudly South African cultivar, with unique, enticing flavours of ‘The Original Coffee Chocolate Pinotage’, will literally be on-tap at the POT festivals. Yes, that’s right - an abundance of the multi-award-winning, ORIGINAL Coffee Chocolate Pinotage will be unlimited and guests will be able to tap as much of the smooth, full-bodied plum and red fruit tasting wine straight from the oak barrels.

Generous goodie-bag and lavish lunch
Festival goers will be treated to a generous goodie-bag on arrival, followed by a delectable lunch, featuring a sumptuous selection of mouth-watering, Pinotage-paired bowl foods and desserts.

Lively local entertainment
The festivals will be complemented by great live music with CrashCarBurn as the headlining act at all three events, as well as live performances from local artists such as Howie Combrink (Joburg), Majozi (Durban) and Grassy Spark (Cape Town).

Find your soulmate
Looking for your soulmate? Cupid has been known to make an occasional appearance at POT events. At the 2009 Pinotage on Tap, Waldo and Marti-Mari Kellerman met for the first time and a year and a half later, they married. "I expected a fun day out, so meeting my future husband was definitely a welcome bonus!" says Marti-Mari.

In short...
The Pinotage on Tap festival is an unparalleled and memorable experience which offers guests a day of shameless VIP treatment combined with hedonistic bliss in the company of laid-back, likeminded folk who all share a passion for ‘The Peoples Pinotage’.

Detail are as follows: The first POT festival of 2015 kicks off in Johannesburg at Val Bonne Country Estate in Modderfontein on August 29th, to be followed by the Durban festival at The Litchi Orchard in Salt Rock on September 19th. The grand finale, as always, will be held at Diemersfontein Wine Estate in Wellington, Cape Town on October 10th  on International Pinotage Day.

POT newbies, be warned: Space is limited and tickets sell out fast – so purchase tickets soonest to avoid missing out on the fun!
